RX8 Badge on front grill, want feedback
I bought an additional RX8 badge from my dealer for $17.00, and temporarilly tacked it to my front grill where I was intending to put it. I would like some feedback on how this would look before I semi permanently affix it. I respect many of of the opinions on this forum as it relates to looks, lines and excess. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

NICE! But, where will you put the front plate now?
I wish I lived in a state without a front plate I would add the emblem to the front.

Thanks for the feedback.
Florida does not require a front plate. We asked our dealer to not install it, so they left the mount and hardware in the trunk.

Hmmmm. I'm not sure. I think I like.
Is it possible for you to post a wider angled view of the car (wider than the second shot).
If I like, I may do this as well b/c PA doesn't require a front plate as well.

My vote is for you to keep it. I like it very much and may just do the same! Thx for the idea.
Question: wadda ya think about a different color? Say blue or do you think that would be too much?
Nah. On second thought, I don't think it would look good in any other color but silver/chrome.

I'd definately keep the RX-8 logo, but get rid of the Mazda symbol to keep the front from looking too busy.
The RX-8 logo in the grill gives the car a meaner, more nastalgic muscle-car look.

I remember many of the pre-release pics showed the front grill with a black plate with the logo on it. In some of the views it appeared that the RX-8 logo was on the grill and the outline of the plate was totally invisible. I really liked the look and I had also thought of doing the same.
The logo could be a tad bigger though.

I used rolled up scotch tape to hold in on for the pictures. I'll put it back on tomorrow a little off center to both sides and get some more pics. Thanks for all the input. I too loved the shots from Japan with the license plate that had a bigger RX-8 on it, but it will probably be a while before aftermarket would make something like that. I was also looking into getting the fender light covers lazer etched with the RX-8 inside them on the Facets. Will probably buy a couple of stock yellow lenses to let some local etchers play with. All, Thanks again.

Wow man, geez. I think I'm having some sort of flashback. Must be from growing up in the '70's, but I was staring at your last pic and my tired eyes kind of let it fuzz-out, and there it is! Kind of looks like Bugs Bunny with his ears tucked-down around his neck! The rotary accents in the seats are his eyes! Aaaaaah! See it?!

although i agree with the above statement, the muscle car part, i personally dont like it, maybe it is the nostalgia thing, maybe it looks to old school for me, but whatever it is, i dont like it.
if you like it though, go for it, its your car afterall
as a side note, sorry for quoting the entire post though i only used part of it, i had just never used the quote feature before so figured id give it a try, is there a way to quote just part of a post?

Staying away from passing judgement, I think the badge reduces the agressiveness of the air intake for a more feminine apperance. The badge looks a little like a necklace.
