as some one just recently facing the decision of a rx-8 or any other sports car- I say go with the 8 if you want a true drivers car. The z has a VERY cheap interior, which is a let down for nissan, as their other cars ( maxima and altima )have a interior that could be compared to a lexus. The 8 does have its share of problems, too. But if a coupe is what you want, you won't have more fun driving any other car. The off the line performance leaves a little to desire, and you gotta rev it up to unlock its potential, and ruin its mileage. still, if I had the cash to buy either and keep my current ride, I wouldn't even consider the Z , just look at it. The RX-8 is one of the best looking mass produced car on the market today. It turns my head every time I see one. I don't even notice the Z.

If the RX-8 is such a better car, then why do the sales #'s tell such a different story?
If you have to come here to ask which is better......it's like asking Darth Vader which side of the Force he prefers.
Trust your own car buying sensibilities/priorities and.............just for fun post the same question in a 350 Z forum and report the results here.

Oh my. Please show me what other car has the same seats, wheels, exhaust, dashboard as the Z. I'm very curious.

IMHO this sums it up best
And then there's this, which is just plain hilarious:
On to the subject of the 350z I love this car and the only reason I not driving one now is that at best the seat only reclines to about 110 degrees. Any ****, streetwalker or just plain gutter skank can tell you, at that angle you’re pretty much restricted to a blow job, hand job or melon massaging any thing else is just plain hoe abuse.

I have tested a couple of 350zs over the years. It is like driving an f body camaro. Has power but is not comfortable at all and handling is not great. My rx8 handles better than my c5 vette. rx8 is my daily driver and enjoy driving (redlining) every day. Also twin turbo 300z was better than 350z.
