RX8 @ dealership

Dropped it off @ the dealership today for squeaky seats, worn shift ****, weird A/C behavior, 1 really HARD start after 3 days of non-operation, broken center console lid, and I was told I also needed the latest PCM flash. *edit* added squeaky brakes

The dreaded rental car..................................

SWEET

I was recently told that they did a PCM reflash...guessing its "N"

My shift **** was also replaced due to premature wear. Not sure if they'll do the brakes because I have 37,000 miles on them....in a year......NASTY

I got an 02 Miata 5spd. with 10k miles... must have not sold. They should give you a good car since we are driving their "flagship". Ask what they have, they were going to give me a 3i at first.

Dropped mine off this morning - they use Enterprise so I was at their mercy. They didn't have any vehicle by Mazda in the lot at all. I told them not to give me anything crappy (since my wife is an Allstate agent; and she uses Enterprise exclusively, I thought I would drop her name). They let me peruse the lot - I should have gone to another Enterprises dealer actually. I ended up with a Silverado pick-up. It was that or a Neon or Mitsubishi Lancer. Got to love living in the south.

Cool, I have it all weekend
I think I got the "N" flash too
they replaced my worn shift **** under warrenty - still not sure if they will do the brakes. They ordered a new center console lid - the one they ordered for me came broken. He said Mazda has a new warranty on the lids - 4 yr/50,000 mi.
Check engine light was on when I dropped it off. (removed cat.) the dealer said I had a CEL due to *cat. not functioning properly* - I said I know, it isn't even there......

I didn't tell them, I went in with a CEL and they just told me what the CEL was for. I already knew the reason - they don't care

What happened to your lid? I had mine for like 3 days and the little tab broke off. I thought one of the kids did it trying to open it.

Tab breaking...AGAIN
They don't hold any weight or force at all. Passengers always try to push off of it to get out of the car, etc..........

yes, Mazda knows they are pieces of **** lids. They will replace it. The crap thing is you have to give them the car to re-install the new one when it comes in. WASTE OF TIME.
It a warrenty thing, so they won't let you install it

I'm sure I will be back for a new lid at least 3 more times in the next year. LAME

Will do.

I complained about them when the bulletin came out, but never had a chance to go to the dealer. It is about 10k miles later. We'll see if they'll honor it still...
