Is the RX-8 worth the money?

I've heard a lot of reports of various parts of the car falling off. Is the RX-8 overpriced? Also people have reported parts wearing off already, like the shift ****, seats, etc. I'm not going to pay 28,000+ for a car that will fall apart easily.

Do a search, there was a long, somewhat ugly thread dedicated to just this question not long ago.

This question has been asked before. Also remember that your reading people that have had some minor issues. Your not reading the hundreds that havent had any trouble. The only way to decide is to drive the car and see if it's worth the money to you.

You really need to use that search button though if your really interested in reading others opinions.

Oh yeah. And I drove for like 50,000 miles and my tires started to show wear! Unbelievable.

Oh and I forgot. My gas tank keeps going empty. This damn car is leaking fuel into the combustion chamber when it drives!

Car is definitely worth the $$ IMO. Actually, I'm still amazed that when people ask me how much an RX-8 costs, my reply has to be... "anywhere from 26, 000 to 36,000"... On the lower $ end, you definitely get the core high-bang-for-the-buck... and on the higher end, you get the coolest frills, and even bigger smiles.

Ummm...I'm rather stunned by this.

I had one of the first 8s in my state. I've had it over two months. Nothing fell off...nothing is wearing out. No Squeaks, no rattles...beautiful paint.

I can't imagine another car out there today that has the performance, has high quality materials, High build quality and for the price they're selling it at.

Do I wish I got 50 MPG? Hell, yes! As it is, as the miles pile up, I'm to the point now where I'm getting excatly what the Sticker says I should while getting about 19-20 MPG in mixed driving.

I drive it like I stole it.

Are there lots of these reports?
