RX-8 too impractical at Christmas?

When I got my '8, I was told by certain members of my family that sports cars - including the 8 - are too impractical for everyday use unless you never transport anything anywhere.

And with Christmas just around the corner, I've been needing to transport presents, TVs, and other random crap to allsorts of places. Then, the big one - today, I went to pick up my 6ft high Christmas tree from the... well, Christmas tree shop, I suppose. And you know what, they were right. The car is way too cramped to transport a big tree from... oh, wait...

Suicide doors rock.

Probably. Especially if the top is a bit bendy.

Nice. I'm showing that photo to the next person who asks me how I get by with such a small car.

Last year, I bought a reasonably sized computer desk that came in a 2' x 5' x 8" box. A sales person had to bring it out on a flat-bed-cart... when I drove up in my RX8, his response was "Uhhh... there's no way it's fitting in that little car."

Bah! Getting it in the front seat (like your tree) was almost disappointingly easy. The best part is that my son was with me! I wouldn't have been able to fit both him and the box inside my old WRX wagon.

Pine pitch can be VERY difficult to get off leather, carpet, etc.
