Interesting, just enabled it, but doesn't really help, as I would need a "send as..." method. I can see them, and this helps split them out easily, but I was referring to having to switch to the other gmail account to respond.

Still, I love Google.

Haven't bumped this in a bit.

Still looking for all engines, regardless of condition.

I'd love to see the results of this. It is difficult to say what the failure percentage is but I do feel save saying it is far above that of piston engine cars.

Actually, it's sitting at 30 responses, 6 of them are info on a failed engine. The rest are still running.

This is less about the failure rate however, as previously discussed in the thread, since there will be a bias towards failures simply because people are more likely to join the boards for problems than not.

The survey is more about what factors may have influenced engine failures, or engines that are running healthily. Thanks for taking it

Well...........since you are a TE and I am a TE/PE........he's gonna need a lot more data for it to really start showing any significant trends!

Yeah, I would like to share the data at 50 responses. 1 engine would be 2% at that point.

19 more to that point, so get people to take it

Thanks for the submission.

Total data? or just yours?

38 responses. I'd like to hold off until we get to 50 before releasing what I have. I worry about too little of a sample size of certain conditions and people jumping on the potentially heavily skewed results as valid.

Thanks!

40 responses. 8 failures and 32 still running

Accumulated mileage of 39 of those responses (1 healthy engine response not being counted in this summary, he put in "rev" as the mileage, which doesn't make any sense)

Still in possession of it - Still Running - End Mileage reflects current 1,222,156 miles
Engine removed due to failure 336,592 miles
Engine removed while healthy 57,000 miles

For the 8 failures noted, 6 of the 8 have spent their life in hot climates.

With only 8 failures, no other data point has any clear bias right now.

If you've taken it already, pass the word around, we need more engines!
