lol ... we got him in there once but with my seat back where I like it, I could feel the car seat top pressing into my back... again I have to have the seat all the way back slammed to the floor and slightly reclined.... we eventually moved the baby behind the pass seat and the 3 year old sat behind me but did not like the lack of legroom... he sat inidian style most of the time...

so I guess I retract my previous statement... but it is a tight fit regardless.... his last rear facing car seat definitely would not fit and allow 2 adults to be comfy upfront though...

Glad to hear all the positivity on this thread...makes me happy! I know it can easily seat 4, but the problem is just that the kids always have their feet right up against the back of the front seats. But, also by the end of this year my oldest will just be in a booster so i can switch their seats and put him behind me and he will have more space.

it's SO true that the kids like my "race car" better than the Equinox- the 8 is officially staying until the kids complain about legroom. I'm debating portable DVD players but I usually let them play with the iPad in the car anyway. Not seeing out the windows or being able to roll them down is a small issue but we haven't taken a trip long enough that it's been too big a deal.

The stroller thing isn't an issue- they REFUSE to ride in strollers anymore! I have Graco Nautilus carseats and they sit flat against the back seats and the kids can open the back doors and climb right in.

The kids like it and is is SO fun to drive. I appreciate everyone's positive feedback :-)

Now to find a thread about radar detectors... or how to NOT speed when you have an awesome 6 spd MT...

My 2 and 4 year old sons ride in my 8 all the time. plenty of room, access, and storage in the trunk (single stroller, not the double).

My wife has a 4Runner, and we take my car sometimes anyway, my 4 year old loves riding in the 8.

Kids are fine with Rx8, I have them now 8 and 5 years old, and have had the rx8 for 5 yrs at least. It may depend on the height of the driver, I am 168 cm. But do get as narrow child seats as possible, it helps putting on the seatbelt.

Except when the guy goes outside to feel up his car he goes: "Oh wait. I ain't gotta do ****.".

Like I said ^previously I had to do the math, turns out I'm the same height, 5'6"...and the kiddos can sit fine behind me and I can keep the passenger seat up as far as needed. I can't wait till they're in boosters though, still :-)
