has anyone used or installed one on the rx-8? it seems like it would be benificial, dont get me wrong i love my 16mpg but 30mpg sounds so much better

 

Hydrogen generators are a waste on any car. Studies or experiments that show otherwise are poorly design, poorly executed or outright fabrications.

 

I heard the kit is about $1000, they have the hydrogen RX8 at SEVENSTOCK every year.

 

Is it worth it?

 

A car that runs on straight hydrogen is an engineering exercise, years from production.

The kits you speak of are junk, they claim to make H² out of water, using the car's own electricity, which is both physically and chemically possible, but absolutely fraudulent when they add those mileage claims.

They claim about 5mpg more and a cleaner running engine. Yes like a hybrid.

All LAX vehicles are Hydrogen/Gas powered similar to The H2 8, even the police cars, sweepers, buses, water trucks, etc etc etc. Nuts. Random but on topic.
