My mom, at 5'4" (sitting behind my 5'9" dad) said she was perfectly fine. I was most concerned about her ability to get out of the back bucket once in as, with her advancing age, strenuous movement is increasingly difficult. No problems to report there.
As for her dog (who's the size of a tiger's hairball), he didn't have much to say.

I wish I could provide a fair answer to your question, but I sold the RX-7 (a white over black with +1 Panasport rims) back in '85. So it's naturally difficult to recall enough about the car to compare with the RX-8.
What I will say is that the decision to sell the 7 remains near the top of my "What Was I Thinking?!" list. Kick me hard.
