In the garage, alongside the wife's '02 Miata. "Stinky," our '92 Ford Exploder, will be relegated to the driveway.

Having a hard time knowing the car will be outside all the time, but the paint they use today holds up very well.

LOL. I too am transitioning from a 92 Explorer to an RX-8, but mine will be relegated to the junkyard.

Well, actually, the Exploder is a recent addition to our fleet. I sold my 10AE Miata to make way for the RX-8; I put it on the market early to make sure I got a good price rather than have to accept a lame trade-in valuation. We bought Stinky to (a) keep me mobile until the 8 arrives, and (b) give us something that we can toss the dogs and bikes in for a weekend away.

Unfortunately I don't have garage at the moment... I live in a townhouse. My RX-8 will have to bare the elements until January or so when we buy our new house (with a garage for sure or we won't buy it!).

Your fortunate, the only elements you have to bare are sun and rain. I have to bare sun, rain, snow, ice, salt... I have no garage and it hurts to think my baby will be outside.

I would put it in a garage, but my house doesn't have one, but those car covers look like the next best thing. That will at least keep the elements off the paint. ACRX8 I feel your pain, I live in New England and the cars up here have to deal with salt, snow, etc.

I would like to put it in my garage but too bad that my garage is fun of stuff. I just have to leave it in the driveway and probably i will get the car cover right after i get the car from the dealer

In garage protected from the rain and $hit here in sunny England (although I am not sure if too much direct sunlight may actually be worse for the car).
