Would you guys rather get a rx-8 auto with the GT pkg or a g35 auto with the premium pkg. the g35 costs more and sure its 0-60 speed kills the rx8 auto but i heard the rx8's handling is great and it feels better to drive than the g35

 

The answer is simple... go test drive both and buy whichever you like better. Both of them are great cars, and I was pondering this question myself, except that I wouldn't be caught dead in a sports coupe with an auto tranny :D
Right now I'm pretty much set to go with the RX-8, despite the significant power- and especially torque-deficit.
I like the interior of the RX-8 much better than that of the G35C. The Infiniti feels cheap, due to the subpar materials they used (probably to save cost).

Of course this is all IMO.

You're exactly right; the only way to know is to drive both of them and find out. If you prefer a nimble, agile, and tossable car that's easy to control and a blast to take thru the twisties, then the RX-8 would be a good choice. If your preference is straight line speed then get the G35C.
