Exclamation RX-8 dieing issue

I am a recent owner of a 2004 rx-8. The car has been performing flawlessly since the purchase in april except for on two recent occasions. I started my rx-8 and proceeded to get on the interstate and drive about 10 miles at about 78mph. I realized a slow and weak resonce from the gas pedal when i pushed it while traveling on the highway. I exited, turned and while i was breaking with the car in neutral, the engine shut off. This happend twice on that trip and it happened to me again when i when i took the same exact route about a week later. Does anyone have any ideas of what the issue is here?

Fuel filter clogged? Do you have all of the flashes? Might try getting a compression check, but I don't think that is the issue.

That happened to me last year in my 2004. I took it in for service and they gave me a new engine.

did you buy your car new? I'm not sure if my warranty will cover an engine due to the fact I bought the car used from a private party.

As long as your car has never been in an accident and u're still within the warranty period. it does not matter if u're the 100th owner of the car. they still have to cover it.

but prepare that the dealership gonna try to rip u off. do u know the complete maintenance history of the car?

To check for warranty, just call MNAO and give them your VIN, they can tell you right away.

sounds like fuel pump (cover under powertrain), drive in an empty parking lot at about 40 mph, and turn left in a circle XD, see if u can duplicate the problem, try and pull some Gs.
