RX-8 coming home tomorrow

Well, all went well with the test drives, and I like it. It'll be coming home tomorrow.

Couple minor questions about things that I wasn't able to find out by searching:
1. Can I put a head unit with built in satellite radio? I read some models had it and some didn't, I'd like a factory radio with satellite.
2. the visor clamp is snapped off on the drivers side. Where can i get another?
3. that's really all i got. I'll polish the **** out of it over the weekend and post some pictures. Gotta take off horrible decals from the windows, wash the engine bay, and clean out the garage to make some room.

You can get the sirius thing and install it...try to find it on these boards for 100-200 ... like 300-400 from dealership.

sun visors commonly break on our cars, try the for sale thread or mazmart in the vendors section.

check oil levels every 2-3 fillups, always carry oil in the trunk, red line every day, dont buy it if its an automatic you'll regret it.

Thanks for the info, i'll search around for the module. It can simply be installed on a stock radio? That's awesome. Is there a how-to on how to put it in? If not, will a dealer install it?

6 speed 6 port was the only option for me. The guy showed me the oil he keeps in the trunk, i'll leave it there. Any concerns with running full synthetic? If not, what's the recommended brand or weight? I run mobile 1 5-40 in my truck, and 5w-30 in my prior race cars. I have heard that synthetic can cause problems in some cars though.

youll have to read up on oil inside the many threads made for it. use the search function at the top.

also youre not a real member till you take pics of your 8. and yes the unit plugs into the back of the radio, you just have to find a place to put the antenna, it comes on the trunk from the dealer.

I'll get pictures, but first there is some major cleaning that needs to be done. Decals need removed, wheels need cleaned, engine bay needs cleaned something fierce. That's for the weekend.

I'll get a module, there's one on ebay for $200 right now, sounds like a good deal. Thanks!
