I just bought a new Mazda RX-8 2006 and around the holidays I noticed the car shook while drving around 53 in 6th gear going up a slight incline. They replaced the engine and it seems better. It still seems a bit rough to me at times. Also, when going about 20 mph and i have to brake, with my hand on the shifter, i can feel the know move back and forth when i step on the brakes, like the transmission is just hanging on threads - is that normal?

 

I only use 6th gear when i am above 73miles per hour..

What did they say the problem was with the first engine that made them replace it?

 

woah wtf,nothing mean but at 53 im in 2nd at like 6rpm or already shifted to only 3rd

 

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why so many 8 owners complain about poor fuel economy.

 

His engine will probably last longer too!
