Hey guys,

Haven't posted in a while cause I'm now at college and didn't bring my car, but on the weekends I am able to drive her, but the few times I have driven her, whenever I have the car in 1st gear and the clutch pushed in, the revs go crazy. Jumping up and down at a constant and steady pace and I have no idea why it is doing this. This started happening after I brought it in for the gas recall. My dad brought it in when I was in school and they replaced a filter or something like that, and the next week when I drove it, it was still doing the same thing.

Then my dad said they might not take it in because I have "modified" my car and it has voided that warranty. The only mod that has anything to do with the engine would be the remote start, but why would that cause it?

Anyone else experience this?

 

One time after I jump-started my car I experienced something similar to this. It only went up to about 5-6k and with my foot still on the floor it dropped to around 2, then back up. I dont have any mods, and it did it for 2-3 minutes and it was back to normal. Maybe it's the ECU re-setting itsself or something like that?

 

I don't know, it usually sits at idle, and then when I push the clutch in and is in first gear, it keeps jumping from idle to around 2.5-3k it stays for like 1-2 seconds then drops to idle, and then does it again, and drops to idle, does it again, etc etc.

 

The car is possessed... take to an exorcist...

*sigh*
