Royal Purple/Purple Ice

Anyone have any thoughts on using Royal Purple synthetic oil or Purple Ice in the coolant system?

I think I remember reading somewhere that synthetic oils are discouraged in rotaries.

What say you, club folks?

Oil is okay but does not meet industry specs. Purple Ice is snake oil.

That said, try and use the search function, there are many threads about Royal Purple.

Thanks, it is always best to do your own research and make an informed decision. there is a ton of good info but there is also a lot of bad info and personal opinions that don't mean much unless you trust the persons opinion. I say all coolant additives are snake oil but some my say it's the best thing since sliced bread. Royal Purple is hailed by many but most have never tested or have any data to back up anything.

Definitely do some searching about the oil... there have been quite a few debates on synthetic vs non-synthetic. Some people will swear by synthetic while some will swear to never touch the stuff. At the end of the day, you'll just have to decide what you'd like to do based on the discussions that have already taken place.
