Update: Ok the gas leak/smell is fixed...BUT....Now my gas gauge is completely fucked up. OF course...it will read what you put in and then immediately go to E and gas light come on but it is not on E....WTF!?!?!?!

 

Whomever did the fix didn't connect the wiring correctly, or they damaged the fuel level float somehow. Bring it back to them and complain.

It looks like your car has a defective sensor inside the gas tank and it's not reading the gas level correctly. Have it checked.

 

i saw mine as i was filling up, and it would go up, pause, go up, pause.. seems normal

 

OMFG this ******* dealer. He all had me convinced that he was a good reputable dealer because he knew some of the people from my town that had bought from him. UGH Im about to just say **** him and go to a mazda dealer and just ******* pay for it. At least it wont be one problem after another.

i didnt even know what you meant by this, but probably not as bad as whatever is wrong with my car.. i think everything is wrong with my car. it was heartbraking to see the driver side so... shiny.. and the tires, so nice, and shiny, like brand new.. sigh


but DAMN monchie! supposedly this mazda 5 gets 445 miles on 1 tank of gas!
if i go to las vegas, from my house, and go to the hoover damn, and back to vegas, and back home.. thats 1108 miles! that gets me 100 extra drive around for fun miles! yippee ky aye I'll save soo much more on gas to give more of my saved up money to my parents. ftw. im so happy. except for my whole wrecked rx8 thing.. i'll never forget. 3/30/11 8 pm.
