Replacing my stock exhaust

Hey peeps...I am in the market to replace my stock exhaust...I want a exhaust that is not obnoxious. I dont want a loud exhaust when you hit the gas and the car goes nowhere...I want a sexy sounding exhaust...I wouldn't mind a little flames coming out of the rear also....lol. I want my 8 to sound the way it looks....any suggestions???

If you want flames, you're going to need to go catless, which in turn will produce a louder exhaust note.

Hop on Youtube.com and search for "rx8 exhaust." Listen to different exhaust brands that people have on their 8's. The Borla sounds pretty sexy.

Based on what you're looking for, the Racing Beat sounds like your best bet.
I have the Mazdaspeed 2 exhaust, and it's not quiet. Especially under load.

Racing beat. I have it and the Mazsport Mid-pipe. Only really noticable under hard acceleration. I love it. Its like a deep throaty belch my father used to do. Barry White or James Earl Jones deep.

+1 for Racing Beat. I've had the exhaust for almost 3 years now and the sound is exactly what I was looking for. Quiet under normal driving, slightly more agressive at WOT.

I have since added the RP supercat to give it a bit more growl.

pretty much any exhaust mated to the mazsport dual resonated mid pipe will give you what you are looking for

I have the agency power catback which is known for being stupid loud and the mazsport midpipe makes it sound perfect.

I just got the Racing Beat Rev8 installed on my 8 this weekend. Looks awesome, sounds great as well. At low RPMs, it isn't loud or obnoxious. It sings at higher RPMs, though. If you're looking for something classy that isn't deep or droning like those Civic garbage can exhausts, then I highly suggest the Racing Beat. Agressive but won't wake the neighborhood up.
