Recaro Seat Issue

I have a 2009 R3 and today I open the car door. First thing I notice is a weird looking piece on the driver seat. At first I couldn't figure out where it came from until I looked over at the seat and saw this hole:

Has anyone else had this issue with their seats? I searched the forum but had no luck. Also I checked the passenger side seat and it looks like it starting to break as well.

Exact same thing happened to me about a month ago. I tried putting it back in, but it fell out again after less than a day. Eventually I just took out the back half also. I'll stop buy the dealer eventually and see what they have to say.

This, unfortunately is a common issue. I would definitely take it to Mazda and don't mess with it yourself.
