Rear Rotary Accent
Hi!
Has been many months since I posted here on account of there being a healthy RX8 forum now in the UK and much of my time is spent there. However, I frequently pop in here to look at the latest news from across the pond and it was a thread I seem to remember some months ago that has prompted this post.
I have tried the search function but it did not throw up anything remotely related to this topic, but I do seem to remember there being a guy in the US that produced a rotary accent for around the rear 'fog light' moulding.
Now I know that you do not have the rear fog light as standard (although some of you have manufactured or have bought them) but that some people had a chrome or stainless rotary emblem around the plastic surround.
Any help in locating such an item would be much appreciated.
By the way I should hopefully have a rear lip spoiler available shortly if anyone is interested.
Cheers
Ray

i don't know about shipping to the UK, but forum vendor mazdapart.com has it for $65US ($37.28GBP).

as for the guy that made them, he got pretty backed up on his work load and as such isn't making them anymore.
i think i remember reading about a guy in the UK that makes strakes and sells them on ebay. he might make the rotary accents as well. (edit) if its the same guy, it appears that he only makes the front. not sure if there is a fitment issue with the rear fog light and the rear accent.

Glyphon,
Brilliant, thanks for that link. I think I might be able to persuade them to ship to the UK for me.
Glad I wasn't going insane, and thought I had seen that some guy was at one time manufacturing them.
The guy in the UK (Howard) that produces the strakes and front rotary crest is not prepared to make a one off for me, which is a great pity, his stuff is to be highly recommended. All manufactured in stainless steel and really high quality, Oh! and cheap compared to the OEM products.
Once again thanks for the link.
Cheers

Cheers Guys,
Gets better and better, item located and shipping organised.
Actually do not need it for the rear lamp but for an idea I have to dress up the front of a Mazdaspeed grill on the front.
Will post some pics when and if the idea works.
Once again thanks for the help.
Yu'll have a nice day now.
