Average fill-up is probably 13 gallons, premium is about 20 cents more per gallon...

Are you really willing to risk your engine for $2.30 per visit???

There's a sticker on the inside of my gas tank lid that reads "premium gas only." That doesn't sound to me like Mazda is saying premium gas is recommended.

My car is an 08'. Not sure if they put that sticker in all cars/all years.

Besides....who buys a sports car to be concerned about fuel economy? Good grief, get a Prius and call it a day.

wowow, you took apart ya tank?? And Why would they put sticker inside of it?...

So now that each point has been raised at least twice; the price diff, the availability of a compression tester, and sundry empirical data of "my car runs on 37 octane just fine"
