"Please read the entire post before you make stupid replies about something I have no intention of saying."

I'm really trying to understand what you wrote. You talked about what sounded like some computer program says that the RX8 is faster than the S2000 straight line. Then you wrote that you drove an S2000 and it wasn't all that fast. Maybe I am stupid. I missed that six months ago debate on white paper. Please enlighten me. Was this some program that spits out velocity figures based upon data obtained from manufaturer's marketing depts?

I've owned both and its no contest. The only thing that upsets me about this is that it should be a contest. MY RX8 doesn't seem to be nearly as fast as MY S2000 was. It should be but is not. I just want to know why not.

Oh, I hate to call people dicks on this forum, but you're a dick.

Too funny.

He said in his first post you took issue with that the RX-8 was NOT faster, and you called him crazy for saying it's faster. Then he corrects you and explains what that software does and clarifies that the S2000 has always been recognized as a superior performance car, and you take issue with the RX-8 not competing? The RX-8 was never meant to be faster off the line than a S2000. If thats what you thought it would be, I think you mis-read a lot of information.

Further proof that stupidity cannot be cured with a dose of common sense from others.

*sigh*

I am not even going to bother replying to him any more, because he still is not reading my post in its entirety. Perhaps hooked on phonics didn't work for him.

I am sure it's probaly somewhere on this site, but can someone sum up the horsepowere issue. I plan to purchase an RX-8 and I just want the quick explanation of what's going on with the horse power everyone is talking about - and what is ECU?

I suggest you refrain from doing so, or you won't be calling anybody anything on this forum.
