just wondering what the difference is
in my car stock there were RE6C NGK plugs but the ones I bought from Race Roots are RE7C

is there a difference? like is it a revision model?

i just read on mazdatrix that 2006+ cars were equipped with RE6C for hot start problems?

The RE6 is just a hotter plug to combat the hot start issue that the early 04-05 models were experiencing. Along with the hotter plug, Mazda went with a stronger starter and revised PCM flashes. Rev the engine on occasion and the RE7 plug should be fine. I have a MY07 and will be installing the RE7 soon (no special reason why I got them, just that they were what I got from BHR). I don't expect there to be any issue.
