Rattle/Slashing noise?

Hey, I have put just over 300 miles on my car and since mile 1, I have notice that when I am at idle not depressing the clutch there is a weird clanking/slashing rattle coming from the tranny. When I depress the clutch (effectively separating the clutch from the flywheel), the noise is gone. Does everyone have this noise, or is my clutch minutely rubbing my flywheel when engaged?

No Worries Polak. I believe you are describing what many members in the past (including myself) said was the throwout bearing. It is more noticable on this car than others. You can especially hear it when your car is in an enclosed space. You will forget about it soon.
