the two traffic lights parallel to each other in abt 20 feet away. easily missed thats why it has camera mounted. i noticed the second one but missed the first. on my way back used the same road...i noticed they only have one camera that takes pictures on the front side of car. really worry ughhh

It also sounds like you may have accidentally informed them that there's an RX-8 in the area with no front plate. Maybe you should install your front plate now, and they couldn't show that it was you. (picture of car without plate - you have plate on)

Typically red light cameras are set up to get the back of a car.

I've encountered places like that. Very dangerous to have 2 signals that close to each other; it's easy to misread them especially if the 2nd set is higher due to a slope -- since there's little difference in size the eye wants to read the higher set as closer. The fact that they deliberately put a camera there shows that they understand there is a problem. Too bad they're punishing otherwise good drivers instead of fixing the stupid problem. The traffic camera will be little solace to the family of someone who gets hurt there. Ah, I see you're in CA. Home of the "anything goes, you should be able to figure it out" school of traffic design. When I first drove in SF I encountered this dude in shorts and a bicycle helmet standing in the middle of rush hour traffic yelling at people to ignore the signals. I figured it was just another crazy person; turns out it was a traffic cop. Culture shock. Back in Ohio if a cop was going to direct traffic at an otherwise signalled intersection they had enough sense to turn off the friggin' signals. Oh, and they had an honest-to-god cop uniform. Not shorts and a purple Giro bike helmet. [/rant]

cant agree with you more

i will have to take the same road again tonite hopefully i will have enough time to thoroughly double check if they shoot the rear as well. i am aware some cities they just take the front side but others both. ughhh
