I disconnected my side/roof airbags and now i have no control of the A/C controls and the radio display. The lights around the panel still light up but not the buttons to choose functions. Would disconnecting the side airbags cause this, and can it be bypassed in any way?

Why did you disconnect them, and yes some radio functionalities are run through the airbags and/or security module.

 

You need your airbags. Do not disconnect anything, specially those safety features. I'm not sure if you could bypass those, but you should put them back, its for your safety.

 

i took them out as this was the start of a track car build. Really am finding out i dont have the time or space at this moment to finish it. I no longer have the side airbags but am looking to put the car somewhat back together. Does anyone know what they cost to replace?
