R3 Winter Rims

I want to put on 19" winter rims on my 2009 R3. Does anyone know if you can buy plain black steel winter rims for this car? Do you know where I can find these?

thanks

I dont' think anyone here would recommend using a 19" wheel in the winter. Most people go with a 17 x 7.5 in the winter. use the search button you'll find loads of info.

I already bought 19" winter tires last year, and used them on my OEM rims. Now that I know I will be keeping my car long term, I was hoping to find a basic winter rim to keep the tires on, instead of changing over the winter and summer tires every year on the OEM rims.

I was gonna say it might be cheaper to buy a 4wd snow beater than secure 19" wheels and tires for a few snow days. But since you've done half the work.. check out discount tire and tirerack's websites. I've never seen 19" steelies but I can imagine they'd look ghastly on an 8 .

I'd at least drop down to 18s. I have Dunlop Wintersport M3s and they worked fine last winter. i have always been swapping on the stock rims myself. If I had to do it again, Id have gotten a entire set of extra rims for winter. Another thing to keep in mind is that 19" winters for the R3 will be insanely expensive.

you can get a pretty nice beater for the price of 4 19" wheels w/ winter tires...
