Just recently purchased a 2011 GT in Stormy Blue Mica and am curious as to how different the front facia is compared to the R3. I tried searching this topic but couldn't find anything. At a glance (to my eye) they appear identical except that the R3 has a lower front lip added. I believe I read that it is actually 3 different pieces. If so, is it possible to simply add the R3 lip onto a GT or is there more to it? Also, given the cost of OEM parts, are there suppliers who offer a suitable aftermarket lip?

 

So after considerable viewing the front facias of the R3 vs: the GT, it is evident that the R3 front facia/bumper has a nice moulded in lower treatment design below the grill that is further enhanced with the black splitter attached beneath it. Shows much better on the Velocity Red.
