Quick question about starters

I Relieze this is in the wrong forum, but it will get more views/ replies this way and it sort of needs to be quick..
my car has had no troubles starting, at all, turns on first go all the time. i took it to the dealership yesterday for its oil change and get my winters put on, and i couldnt drive it off the lot...wouldnt start.. they tell me its the starter and its going to cost me 400 bucks to get it replaced... how can my starter go from working pertfectly to not working AT ALL in a matter of 2 hours? also, its an 05, and it flooded 2 years ago, should they not have put a new starter in when it was brought in?

Don't let them get away with this. Bitch and scream, get the general manager out there. You drove it into the dealership just fine for a routine service where people trained to work on rotaries were supposed to do the work, and they most likely flooded it. You shouldn't be out anything on this and a note should be made on your warranty that the dealership flooded it and any further complications are a result of that.

It's horrible to have been a diligent rotary owner and have someone else **** your car like that.
