Quick Help!!! My Car Won't Start. Flooded the Car!!

Okay, I recognize the irony of this post because yesterday I made a thread about my car being great, but now when I go start my car it won't start. It's not the battery because I can hear a cranking noise. I called Mazda and they said my engine is flooded.

I should also note that yesterday I was removing my clear corners and putting the Amber one's back on so I had to move my wheels. Apparently they said I started my car and turned it off too fast and that it flooded the engine.

Do you think this could be it?

How do I unflood my engine!

The Owner's manual has de-flood procedures, IIRC.

Good luck!

You did flood it, try the de-flooding procedures, or search for recent de-flooding procedures, check for rotarygod's recent posts about flooding. If it does start up, go to the dealer and get the new spark plugs and starter under warranty.

Hold the gas pedal down & cranked it for the recommended time. Says how to unflood in the owners manual i believe or in the video.

It's all good, now you get new plugs, starter and a battery for free.

How long did you let it run after you "de-flooded" it, cause it won't be perfect right off the get-go. If I remember right on the RX8 dvd I got with my car they said to keep it running for at least 30min, but I might just be pulling that number out of my ***. Run it for a while, if it still does that, you should still have warranty left... use it.
