Questions on Carfax
So i was scanning through the carfax of one of my potential new 8's and I noticed something peculiar on this one! This car is actually my first choice and i see that it had the battery replaced twice? Could this be a problem?
I posted the link...Check it out and let me know what you think
Thanks,
Ty

Looks like it sat for long periods of time. May have been drained down multiple times. So then the next question woulf be consequences of sitting and possibly not being run till warm enough... Others?

The 15 different dealerships probably flooded it and replaced the battery to fix it or something lol. I'm thinking if you really want it you should go take it for a drive and read around about what to look for during the test drive.
Good luck with your decision!

thanks for the advice guys...i'll be going to look and drive it this upcoming week! I was actually thinking about using the "battery replacements" to my advantage...Reason being, its at a toyota and scion dealer and I've spoken with the guy and he really has no idea about the car...meaning he's not familiar with the rotarty world.
He has told me that he knows most of the dealers that have actually had it and that it was taken care of, never flooded etc. Obviously im gonna make the decision based on my observations but ill keep that in mind as well.
its currently an 07 with 23k on it selling for 16,832. I figured with him and the dealership not being well informed i could bring up how i'm gonna have to replace coils, plugs, due the the battery dying twice...It also has the original tires too which ill make an issue. etc etc...
Lol im trying to drop the price dramatically.
Also, i dont really know anyone around my area with an 8 or that knows much about the rotary so i wont be able to ask anyone to go with me...I've been reading constantly what to look for and do's and donts for the past 3-4 weeks so i feel pretty confident. Im a quick learner when it comes to mechanics and I'm very observant when it comes to looking at cars...
If theres anything else you guys can think of please let me know!

40th anniversary Edition
Hey , the battery problem is because it sat so much. I have a 2008 40th anniversary edition RX8 with only 13,000 miles on it AND a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 GT. The RX8 sat for long periods and most of the winter, and the battery drained down and after charging it up a few times,Mazda replaced it under warranty. The alarm system and clock will drain an RX8 battery if it is not driven much. This vehicle sat on lots and such, I am not surprised they replaced the battery twice.
This would not be a red flag at all here, I know from experience.
