Have there been any significant changes to the Renesis since the 04 RX-8? I was reading an article where a guy was saying he felt bad that we didn't have the 6-port Renesis in the States. Another guy responded that we did have it in the States now. I don't recall hearing about any changes. Does anyone have any info on this/

 

We've had it in the USA since day one Adam. The 4-port is only used in automatic transmission cars. All manual transmission cars have the 6-port.

 

all 2006's have the 6 port motor (auto and manual) the older auto cars had the 4 port motor because the transmission was a 4 speed, but the new automatic transmissions have 6 speeds in addition to the 6 port motor.
