i am new here and dont know a whole lot but i will tell you what i think. dont take it as fact as it could be very wrong.

i have never read about someone putting a chip in. i have read about getting a cobb ap to tune and do other things but not for the hp.

80hp with not FI is not going to be realistically possible. i think you get around something like 200 to the wheel with normal upgrades if your lucky.

I'll be nice since you are new.
They don't work with our car, so don't waste your money.
Only way you will get 80hp is by going FI.
Please use the search button, or go read all the stickies in each section.
There are things you can do for small hp gains, let's say 3-5 each, but that's about it.
The AP would be one of those and may get you a little bit more than what I said above, but you have to get a decent tune to realize that.

Good job, you get a lollipop. You obviously have been reading more than posting.

FI is forced induction by the way or Turbo/Supercharger...took me a while to figure that one out when i first got here for some reason haha. I don't understand when someone specifically says there new, why would you use slang that he/she might not understand

Because it might intrigue them enough to go read and/or search to find out!

Actually, I think there is a thread somewhere on most if not all those terms or abbreviations if I remember correctly.

your first mods should be bhr ignition kit + cobb AP. dont get the chip or the $35 supercharger.

Ahh the chip again...

Good job to the sub 100 posters (like me)...yes FI is the main way to get those HP returns. It's nice to see others that post little read a lot on this board and yet are willing to help out.

There is another way though, I've read of a few doing Nitrous and getting returns up to 100hp. However you should really know what you are doing before trying a 100 shot. I personally would think that FI would be safer but N2O tends to be cheaper (in the short run).

It makes me sad that this stuff is still floating around out there. It also makes me sad that similar products that actually produce similar hp yields exist for other cars.

Pure speculation on how to increase HP doesn't violate any forum rules thus probably won't get locked.

These are cheaper and taste way better.
And they're just as effective.
