Hey guys,

I was jus wondering about how much do you guys think stock Non-bose Rx8 speakers cost? I'm tryin to get rid of my speakers to get better quality speakers.

 

I don't really know and I don't want to hijack the thread but, are the non-bose stock speakers easily replaceable with the original bose ones? Like in size etc?

 

They are worth pretty much nothing.
Unless you ask the parts counter at a mazda store, then they are worth their weight in gold


If you are trying to sell them, you probably wont get more than $0 for them

 

Keep them in case you blow aftermarket

 

I feel your pain, as I too have the no bass Bose system.

 

I feel ya on that one.. I have half of my speakers the non bose and the other half some wierd aftermarket crap. (bought it like that)

 

Meh just get some after market Kenwood speakers and one 12". Worked for me The stock Kenwoods suck

WTF. I would so like to have Kenwoods. I didn't even know the 8 came didn't come with BOSE as standard. Btw how many watts is the stock bose system? 300 watts?

300 watts of what? PMPO? Sure as hell ain't RMS power. It's about as close to 300 watts as those boomboxes that would claim "10000 Watts of POWAH!" from 4 D-cell batteries.

I need to find pictures of the Bose **** that I ripped out of the Mazda6. One look at the subwoofer amp would make anyone who cared about audio cry blood.

 

Idk what brand my stock speakers are or worth. My Rx8 is an 05 sport. They came with non-bose speakers.

 

Well I don't know about 04-08 but mine are pretty good actually

 

You really have a crappy Mazda 6... it makes mine sound so much better. The stock sound system is pretty good for the average joe, better than Acura's system I believe.

But I haven't heard the one in my Rx-8 yet, since I love the sound of the Engine!

 

The sound of the engine when it revs is something to die for =)

But the BOSE system isn't that great on the RX8 anyways, the JBL system I had on the '07 Camry Hybrid was much better than it surprisingly O_o or maybe not so surprisingly...

but bottom line, the BOSE system isn't that nice and I'd love to install some aftermarket ones on it if it weren't for the $$ involved.

 

No highs, no lows... must be bose.
