So I'm planning on getting an 8, but one lil thing is nagging me. There are no mazda dealerships in or around my city. The nearest one is halfway to Memphis in the middle of nowhere. This being the case, if something does happen to go kaput in the engine, would a different service center be able to fix the engine? If so, would that 8 year warranty still work even if it's not a mazda dealership? I don't really like the idea of having my car towed an hour away if I somehow screw it up.

 

The 8yr warranty would only apply at a Mazda Dealership. I dont believe anther shop would be able to help you if your engine went. Unless it was a Rotary Shop, Like JPR for example.
