Question about rx8strakes tail light overlay kit

Does anybody know what style of the overlay kit is used for the preview picture on rx8strakes? I was interested in getting the kit, but I wasn't sure if the one they previewed is gunsmoke or charcoal.

I am curious to know if anyone has applied this kit to the taillights. Reason being, I've purchased a vinyl overlay kit from another company and found it next to impossible to apply that kit. The shape changes and curves of the lights make the process of getting air bubbles and creases out of the overlay very difficult.

I think I spent 4 to 5 hours working on one taillight till the heat gun burned up an edge and that was all she wrote!

I have applied overlays to my front headlights with great success. If anyone has used the kit from rX8 strakes I would be interested as well!

I would recommend that spray paint for tinting headlights and taillights over any overlays. Its cheaper, goes on easier, and you can control how dark it is. Too bad its not easily reversible

your question seemed to be about what material and color Rx8 strakes uses. I would suggest either emailing them from their web site or posting in their thread under the vendor forum. Either way they'll get back to you pretty quick.
