Push start button?

What is a push start button? I saw it in the R&T mag, and read about it, but don't know what it does or what the purpose is. Is it to start the engine? Someone please explain. Thank you, sorry for being naive.

This feature has not made it into the Production Model. One can be rigged and wired for all of $20dollars. But does require the cutting of the dash should you choose to place it there.

So basically it is just a different way to start your car. Well, that is cool, but I think it would be cool as an optional feature for the car when it does come out despite it not being on the production model.

Unhappy Is anything gonna be there?

Although the push start button is kinda entertaining (but useless), it's the loss of the the tiptronic (and possibly other features, how about the carbon shaft or the roll bars?) that annoys me. Is anything on all the reviews and pics going to be the same? Or are we going to get the barebones that some speed fiends want so badly. This isn't encouraging. I had a 90 RX-7 complete with many toys that seems to rival the package the RX-8 is now boasting. I just want my rotary and a comfortable speedy vehicle, but no clutch in the city made me even happier, till the option disappeared without notice.

Blast it all... I like the renesis too.

I need sleep.

I do believe that the Carbon Driveshaft is still there. (That may be the additional weight in the RandT article, if its not however)

One reason I loved the button was because of the rotor that surrounded it. Little things like that make it cool and different to me. To bad they cut little things like that. I wonder if the door sill will have the rotor in it. They may cut that too, not that it had any significance but still.
