Pulling to the right

In February I got a set of Kumho tires for my newly acquired 8. In late May my car started pulling hard to the right. I took it to my closest Mazda dealer in Clear Lake TX where they performed an alignment.

It was better but still pulled so I took it back to the dealer.

"You have two defective tires that are causing the car to pull to the right"

Ok, strange, but I formulate a good enough story to convince Discount tire to replace the two "defective" tires.. Work done, it still pulls.

I take it back to the dealer again where they perform ANOTHER alignment. Still it pulls.

So I took it back this morning and I got a call just now:

"Sir you have directional tires and you need to have Discount Tire rotate the tires onto different wheels. Your alighnment is spot on and this will alieviate the problem."

They refused to perform this work despite the previous misdiagnoses..

What do you guys think of all this?

Look at your tires. Are the directional arrows facing the right direction (forward)? If they are, than Mazda is lying. If the arrows are going the wrong direction (backwards) then whoever put the tires on the rims or the rims on the car is at fault.

It is unfortunate that happened, but there is also a reason one should not have a place like Discount Tires work on a sports car. After two bad experiences with two differant chains, I found a good independant shop who has never let me down.

Maybe that's why the name is Discount. Maybe you get discounted service. Hope you get it corrected as I would hate to see your 8 going down the road like a sidewinder snake.
