Check Engine Light!!! WooHoo!

I'm off to see the dealer today. While I am there, I will have my laundry list of items taken care of:

AC
Flash
Airbag recall
Damper recall
Scheduled Mntc
Clutch Release Bearing sounding like a lathe

Mine is steady on, not blinking. So, between that and the fact that performance does not seem to have decreased I don't think it is terminal.

The Damper Recall is more formally known as "Manual Transmission Damper Recall". You can find it on the FinishLinePerformance link for TSBs.

Well, I'm in a Ford Taurus compliments of Mazda Roswell. So far, they were very nice folks.

Spoke with them today, and they are ordering parts. Meanwhile I'm cruising in my Taurus baby!

Tonight they told me the AC Amplifier has not been released. I called BS, and told them that many people have gotten it installed already. I sure hope they don't start with the BS routine.

I'm back in Roxy again.
The CEL was a bad catalytic converter.
The 4700-5200 RPM noises I was hearing were related to the Damper recall (per the tech)
The M-Flash was done.
Airbag Recall done.
Waiting on the AC Amplifier part.

Gotta give props to Mazda of Roswell. They seemed to do a pretty good job. They owe me the A/C amp, and a tire rotation yet, but I like them so far.

I have 3 new stickers under the hood now.

I have also been waiting on an AC Amplifier since July 29th. I just called this morning and the parts guy says that the current indication in their system is that the back order is supposed to hit the Mazda warehouses on August 27th. It would then be at the dealers 2-3 days later.

Not that the 8/27 date couldn't slip again ....

They called me today to tell me the AC Amp has arrived. I am on my way to the airport in about 20 minutes to fly to Norway, so I'll get it done when I return. I'll let y'all know if it works.

My dealer got the AC Amp in last week and I had it installed yesterday. It seems much colder. It still cycles but from Cold-to-cool rather than cool-to-warm. The weather hasn't been warm enough to tell if it really fixed things.
