proud new owner :)
I purchased a 2005 RX-8 yesterday, and am looking forward to participating in this forum/community. I did a bit of reading on here before buying it, and knew what questions to ask, and what to look for (thank you all). I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm excited to have a new "toy", and wanted to thank you good folks for the info I've found here, and will likely be reading MUCH more in the future....
oops, btw, it's a 2005 Sunlight Silver Grand Touring coupe (as you can see in my sig line) with 12k miles

thank you sir. I get up that way now and then (mostly golf related outings), maybe the two will coincide. I have friends that live in the Wheaton/Warrenville and Naperville areas. Last year played Ruffled Feathers Golf Club (Lemont - just down the road from Cog Hill), played Pheasant Run and Prairie Landing (in St Charles), and played 7 Bridges (in Woodridge?). Are your meetings more in the city, or burbs?

Couldn't believe it when I found it....not a ding, scratch, curb rash...NOTHING!!! Lucked out really. Almost bought a crazy low mile 06 GTO (6.0 LS2) http://www.bmwofpeoria.com/vehicle-i...e25ef06d14ff05 , but looked around some more, test drove this one, and liked the handling over the RAW muscle....getting older, or wiser, or something.

Thanks for all the comments! Been bumping around the forum, and enjoying quite a few threads. One thing I've found though, is that this site is not the easiest to do searches on! Of course, if someone (like a NOOB) asks a question that has been asked before they get flat-out BLASTED. Which, btw, is funny to read, but with such a crappy search I can understand someone giving up on searching for something as simple as Lucas 2 cycle oil for pre mixing....

Use Google. Type in
site:rx8club.com "your search goes here"
Replace what's inside the quotes with whatever you're searching for, but don't use quotes. So if you want to search for Lucas Oil on the forums, punch in:
site:rx8club.com Lucas 2 Stroke Oil
As far as premix goes though, I suggest Idemitsu Rotary Premix. Do a search on that, and welcome to 8Club.

Since you sound pretty cool and were nice enough to post pictures, I'll let you in on the searching secret.

Good looking ride. Looks exactly like mine? Well almost I have the polished rims with the Rotor emblems on the center cap. Welcome! I suggest reading the Pre-mix thread as well. Decide for yourself.
No snow in Texas, 75 degrees today. This is the first time I have driven my car to work in quite a while.
