After having all the parts here and ready. It took me a month working nights and weekends to have it running. I didnt start doing anything until Most of the parts were here. and I say most becasuse theres always little things you will need along the way. The reason I never put numbers is because I have only taken tha car once to the dyno and had a very big tiiming problem and took it out of the dyno to take care of it and wasnt able to get it back on the roll the same day. My tunner was leaving to Puerto Rico next morning so I never went back. We did get 389 at 5000 rpm. After taht the curve only went down. Now is reving to 9900 like nothing but I wont take it to the dyno until my tunner comes back.

if I am not mistaking is C, but im not 100% sure..
When i got it running the first time I used it for a while and the first tranny was gone. After that I bougth a brand new tranny and a brand new clutch and an hour after installing it 2 gear was gone. after that I had it sitting for a while for money problems( I had just spend over 6000 between the tranny the clutch and some upgrades I had done at the same time), some more trannies in between until I finally desided to change it to the t56. That was a big project but it came out very nice.

did the position of the shift **** changed? did you have to buy/make a conversion kit so you could hook it up to the engine?

I had to make it work. Lots of custom work. For the t56 that is. The 8's tranny fits right in

we would if you posted what it was... haha...

also, rotary resurrection is very good for rebuilds. definitely talk to him. he'll also buy your engine, so that'll be a plus for you.

today at 4:00 pm i dropped off the engine at jrp here in blakwood New Jersey and spent probably an hour getting to know what this shop was about. tell you guys what, the owner is absolutely the nicest mechanic that i have ever met. the quality of the work that he dose backs him up. i checked out some of his customer cars and his own race car which were awesome. it will take him a week before he can get to my motor but on monday i will have some pics of what it looks like all apart. mean while i will be taking my stock motor out and the trany (pics will be posted) and just to let evryone know that all the oem parts that im taking off will be up for sale engine $2000, trany $500. just called that place about the transmission kit and what i found out as that the kit is sold without the trany which is lil pricy and the transmission that it supports is power glide AUTOMATIC. defiantly not something that i would put in my car.

Jim from JPR has done work for me & others and I highly recommend him. Do keep in mind he owns his own shop, sets his own hours & doesn't really have that much help so if it takes a fews days longer don't worry.

Very pricey. I did mine so I spent less than 100.

what have been told by Jim-(jpr shop guy) that the fd tranies are very strong and he has never seen one go at the 500-600hp ( mine desired hp) so i will be considering buying one used and upgrading some internal parts.

Sure. Just remember there is a lot of things to consider. Like tires you are using, the clutch you are using and probably one of the most important How do you drive? I dont like speed to the extent of going 200mph , I like acceleration so trannies get hurt a lot like that. Just think about what you want it for and remember a 20B has a lot of torque. at the end you will have amonster any route you go. But been able to enjoy it is better. Manuel from PR has the 8 tranny and he has done fine for a LONG time.

Stupid question: do all 20b's have "3-rotor" stamped on the block? I saw this once before and assumed it was some sort of custom piece. Stamping "3-rotor" on it seems somehow both badass and lame at the same time.....

The 20B was a rare engine, less than 4000 sold used in a high price Japanese only luxury/sporty car. I don't think the owners of the Eunos Cosmo cared if the emblem was lame/badass.

from what have seen was that only three rotary engine were stamped that way all other cosmo models just sad 13b re. and if you look at the iron castings it will tell you 20b then the series a,b,c,d with production # the later the production, the stronger it is.

The upper intake manifold was always stamped with "3-rotor" from the factory. I guess after staring at it for a while it starts looking kind of funny - like how back in the day on the 2nd gen RX-7 they had "Rotary TURBO with Intercooler" stamped right on the intercooler...

my personal opinion is that the 3-rotor stamp is nothing to be crazy about and its not weird looking at all. once you open the hood you know what you are looking at and then you can pic up on other details.

motor was lil less then 4-k i got lucky actually. a week later somone was selling theirs for 2200. but you have to watch what you buy a.b series are pretty good but will probably not handle anything over 600hp for a long time while c,d series were reinforced durring the production and are probably good for 1000 hp .

today i stopped by to see my engine being disassembled. it was like watching you first child being born. from what the mechanic have seen is that rotors and rotor housings are in good shape so it should be cheeper and fester in my hands.

i will post pictures tomorrow of how it looks apart.

thank guys for your support.
