Hello, My RX-8 started acting up today...After starting it (engine was cool) the engine was revving back and forth between .5 and 1.5 RPMs...I let it sit there for a few minutes to let the engine warm up...when the temp was about half way I put it into drive, and the car wouldn't accelerate very much, going only about 5MPH at half throttle...after about 10 seconds at half-throttle, the car picked up speed and acted normally. Every time I came to a stop and went back into 1st gear, the RPMs would go below 1 and start revving again, shaking the car, and the car would have a very slow acceleration out of first gear again. I reached my destination in about 5 min of drving like this and when the car was put into park, it continued to shake and rev. Never had this problem before, It was very hot out today, not sure if that had anything to do with it. I just got thge oil changed and spark plugs replaced 2 days ago and a Mazda dealership. Any ideas?

 

Spark plug wire fell off.....

 

Check your spark plug wires and make sure they are in place

 

Thanks, everything seems to be back to normal now...I will prob get new coils in the future too for over the summer....
