Smile Pricing opinions on 09 R3 with 12K miles

Hey guys and gals...

Looking at a 2009 R3 with 12,500 miles at a Toyota dealership. It looks to be in great shape.

They have it priced at $25,999.

I know some of you have gotten smokin good deals on new and used R3's...give me some ideas...please.

It's black...not that it matters...

And, I'm in Beckley WV.

Thanks!!

PS This car is EXCITING!!!

i'd shop around. that's pretty low mileage i guess, maybe average. i've heard of a couple going for closer to 22k, but i don't know what their mileages were.

look around, I paid $23k with 5k miles on the clock. but it was winter time in Colorado, could be a factor too.
I can sell you mine for less than the dealer you looking at, its got 12k on the clock, would you take it? its blue.

They should be able to go lower... more than I paid for a brand new 2009 R3.

Thanks for the input...

I haven't talked to them on price yet, that's just the "asking" price. I was hoping to get it around 22 to 23 so I'm not being unreasonable it seems.

I guess the mileage is so-so, but potentially it could have been driven close to 2 years at this point.

Jason...blue is not me, but I bet you wouldn't have a problem selling it if your serious.

It's not unreasonable no, especially since they're not really selling too well.

I got mine new for about that much (before taxes, etc), but there was also a big cash-back incentive.

After a quick look on cars.com, $25k seems be about the normal asking price for an R3 with about 10k miles. I think you could get it for 23k or less, but I guess it kinda depends on the dealership and how hard you want to negotiate.

I'd say no more than 20-22k. If they don't want to deal initially, be patient...I'd be willing to bet the car will be sitting there for awhile. Remember, with the huge rebates and under invoice pricing on these to start with it was technically only a 25-27k car brand new, even though it had a sticker ~ 32k. Face it, they have to practically give these away to get rid of them. If you can be patient and get the deal you want and maintain it properly (DIYs on here are great...and it is a fairly simple car to work on) you won't find a much better bang for the buck car performance-wise anywhere.
