Of'course you can...which type or hourglass are you using? I did the 5-60 time in the time it took for 1/24395 of a cup of water to evaporate or maybe it spilled out?

Paul--that vehicle is not registered in DC, so your credibility is crumbling. Or did you recently return from the UK?

Wow, I can't believe I'm actually going to respond seriously to this thread, but I actually timed this on a really boring uneventful day a few months ago. (I can assure everyone, my timing this had nothing to do with this thread. Plus I feel sorry for the poor original poster taking all this abuse, even if it is one of the simpler threads I've seen )

2004 RX8 GT
All Stock (Performance wise)
80 degrees
TSC & DSC on (Wasnt really worried about squeezing out every microsecond)
7.9 seconds (My buddy timed me with his IPOD. Yes they have timers on them)

Had a lot of extra crap in the car, including my buddy, so I'm sure the extra weight combined with the DSC being on accounted for an extra tenth or two.

(Everyone please forgive me for replying to this thread )

your buddy timed you on his IPOD?

furthermore, was he with you? Because i'd imagine that the extra 200lbs or so could have slightly affected your times...

Yes, on his IPOD. IPOD nanos have a stopwatch feature. Like I said, extra cargo, plus my buddy, who was in the car.
