Possilbe Stability Issue
I recently got new rear tires and of course, an alignment. Anyway, ever since then i feel like I no longer have the control I once had at high speeds (85+). Maybe it's a temporary confidence problem, but it does seem a bit coincidental. I have Tien coilovers and wider than average tires in the back. Is there anything the tech could have done that would make me feel in less control at high speeds?? Or am I in my own head?

Sure, I've got Generals in the back. 275/30R19. Front are standard size. I honestly do not know what the alignment settings are. The front tires are getting pretty worn and will need a change some time early next year.

well you have a pretty big discrepancy in tire size from the rear to the front, plus your fronts are worn, assuming your alignment is not messed up i would get at least a similar sized front tire, stocks are 225, if you want a staggered setup maybe a 255 at least?
rx8s handle the best when there is no stagger. For the mean while maybe rotating your rear rims to the front will help with the stability issues.

One thing that could have happened from the Tech is not balancing the tires. After I changed my rears the Stealership didnt balance causing the car to want to turn whenever I go over a bump. Had to have Big O Tires inspect and balance.

You shouldn't be driving 85 plus.
What do you think you are? A race car driver on the public roads?
Your setup is fuxed.
I suggest you take a basic auto shop class and slow down.
Better than paying for a ticket and insurance increase plus you will learn something in class.

Never had a problem before the tires and alignment a month ago, so I don't understand why it would be the setup. Care to expound?
