personally i hate S2 GT's, main reason? leather seats. They are okay in a lux car but in a car like the rx8 it begs to be driven hard, and when that happens you will find yourself flailing in your seat. They made amazing cloth seats for the S2 and i miss it, though you cant beat cosmo red leather the cloth/suede seats on S1's are okay though.

IF you buy a 09, get a Touring model, cloth seats, foglights, and the traction button is there.

when i put my vin in carfax it came back as a touring, when i bought my car the dealer said it was a sport and when i gave my vin to my insurance company they said it was a grand touring lol, though i had the touring package, i have to change my sig.

They discontinued the touring model for i believe 10 and 11 so if your getting a S2 in 2010 or 2011 thats the only way id buy a GT.

OR id only get a S2 GT if it came with the navigation system.

The bose isnt worth it, in my s2 i didnt have bose and at level 3 volume it was perfect cruise volume, my bose now is waaay to loud at 3, unhearable at 2 over the engine and 1 is okay if your parked with no ambient sound.

though what people are saying is true, realistically the S2's are more...hardy. downside is the lack of aftermarket. Oh and they made changing the oil on S2's ridicuous, almost have to bring it to a place to get it done if you dont have a lift, its doable just not very fun, 20x less fun than on a S1, dont ask me why they did that though.
