you should sue the guy at least to get some damages since now your insurance will probably go up and it wasn't even your fault.

My insurance company said that everything was covered. I have full coverage and also coverage for uninsured drivers. Also the fact that he was intoxicated and tried to flee the scene made the case that it was fully his fault according to the police report.

I lost two cars to uninsured drivers. No blame on me, no change to my safe driver status or rates. I was out my deductable, of course, and nobody paid for a rental car til I got new wheels. But that was it.

My car got hit while parked in the mall (hit and run)...insurance didnt raise...a friend wrecked my car but it was deemed not at fault for anyone due to faulty signal light...insurance didnt raise...my mom's boyfriend totaled a car that was under my name...insurance didnt raise. All of this WAS NOT on my rx8 haha but just saying USUALLY when its not your fault and as long as u have good coverage they wont raise your rates.
