Parking lite change. Uhhhh!
I had a two hour break yesterday at the job so I decided to change out a blown right parking lite bulb. Dammmmnnnn! I got past about three bolts and decided this was gonna be a Saturday afternoon job. Does anyone have any tricks up their sleeve for this job. I've already decided if I have to change one, I'm gonna change both of them. Murphy's law ya know! Change one and guarantee ya the other one will blow in a matter of hours.

Ya by parking light I'm assuming you mean on the headlight towards the center of the car. The pssenger light is much trickier then the driver's side as it's a much tighter area to work with. Remove the battery cover and the other cover to the left. (can't remember whats there again) It really just takes patience and small hands lol... also be really careful not to drop the light in the housing, as it's really hard to get out if it falls in. For the driver's side just remove the ecu cover and its not too bad of a squeeze. After doing this 3-4 times it's really only about a 5-10 minute job, i've also learned that needle nose pliers come in handy on the passenger side.

Guess I should have said front end lites. They all sound labor intensive. Not sure I want to deal with removing the bumper. Does it line up perfectly at reinstall or do you need 4 guys and Gorilla to line it up? I'm not beyond trying that if it's truly easier.

I would say i agree with foglights, but for parking lights i actually would find it much easier to fiddle with a tight squeeze then to take the time to take the bumper and headlights off.

This is what i have done 4+ times and consider it basically a routine these days...
Remove the covers circled in red and try to get to the lights where the blue arrows are pointing. Maybe I have smaller hands then most, but i can usually do this with only a bit of struggle and a needle nose pliers.

I just take the front bumper off. While you are there you can change your oil from the oil coolers and get all the oil out. Clean out your oil coolers as well. Change the bulbs for the parking lamps. Thus getting more done anyways. One person can easily remove the front the bumper and put her back on. It weighs 5lbs at the most. Literally its light as hell.
