Parking brake light playing games
I've been looking around the site at other threads about the brake light staying on but I thought my situation was a little unique, so I wanted to write it up. About 6 months ago I drove with my brake on for 30-50 ft. Nothing really serious, maybe 10mph tops. However, after that my light would come on after I took my first sharp turn or hit a bump on the road (scary the first few times). Eventually the light just stayed on all the time no matter what. I was lazy and after I learned that the brake was fine and the light was just messed up I sort of ignored it.
Then last weekend I decided to start searching and fix it. I noticed that a few members here said that the fluid level could be low. That made perfect sense to me. So I walked outside, popped my hood and saw that I had more than enough fluid. Then I got in my car and boom. No light. Works just as it is supposed to. I didn't even touch anything.
I don't know if you could call this a write up but I'm taking full credit for it being fixed.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
If the brake light went out, then your good to go. If it comes back, then check the brake wiring's for loose or broken wires. And make sure the brake fluid is not leaking either.
