27, nothing but Rotaries... Started with a 87' turbo II, it's been a crazy, oil consuming, polluting, bad mpg addiction.. If you know what I mean. Raspy Raspy

I'm 23..

I drive recklessly yet skillfully... I never knew what road superiority felt like until I got my 8..

I've never even owned a rotary, but I used to have a Mazda pickup. My good ol B2600i 4x4 was my first vehicle. I could barely fit my 6ft self into it, but it was fairly reliable and was crazy fun running through the mud.. It accelerated like a cement truck..

i am also happy to see so many young kids with good taste by picking mazda over the rest of the everyday crap most younger people drive.i think the mazda is safe and enjoyed by quite a few of select people who know it don't need to fly to give you goose bumps and you don't need to buy a season pass to kick *** everyday to work or school!

^^ Yea man, my friends own an Oldsmobile Olero, an F150, a 90's Thunderbird, a dodge ram, a Scion XA, and a Jeep...

It's like I'm the only one who craves excitement on the road.. Every time I drive it's like a race to where I'm going. I even plan roads to redline and corners to fly around...

27 here. Im not partial to Mazda's or rotary cars ( although Ive always loved 7's). I just felt and still feel that this is the best car for the money. Ive always loved to do any kind of motor-sports (jet ski, motorcycles, dirt bikes, etc..). I don't know about everybody else, but when I drive my 8 I feel like I am riding my bike or jet ski. It is a car that just seems in touch with its surroundings(sounds cliche, but I'm sure many understand). For the times I cant get on the water or on my bike the 8 makes an ideal substitute. The 9,000rpm redline doesn't hurt the 8 when comparing it to other motor-sport machines.

Age

I'm 61 two days ago...I had an RX7 for 12 years, a TT coupe for 3 .an A4 for a couple nice years, but I like a car that I drive ...not point....I play in a working band and i'm a doctor...I wear red Ferrari Pumas and driving gloves and when I'm workin', Lucchese cowboy boots. I'm happily married and have an 11 year old daughter... I'm not eccentric...I've been there and done that as they say....Air Force during Nam, hospitals since i'm a kid....I'm havin' fun in my Velocity Red 8...Fun is all there is my friends...otherwise life is well, just another day at the office. I also just started Jazz guitar lessons. I make sure I never have one of those...ever ! Life is fragile and short...live every day to its' fullest. I move too fast to smell the roses , besides I have allergies to them.

If you have had a Rotary before did it get better mpg then your 8? This is my seventh one and it gets the best mpg of any of them.

True, the 8 get better mileage than prior rotaries, but gas was a LOT cheaper when I had my last one. I drove a lot more then, but even so, my fuel expenditures were a smaller percentage of my total transportation budget.
